Albany- area cosmetic dentist Dr. Roy Oyangen is extensively trained in the field of dentistry, drawing patients from all over Schenectady County to the Glenville practice he opened in October of 1997. Before that, he treated thousands of patients and worked with more than a dozen dentists in Niskayuna between the years of 1986 and 1997.

Meet Dr. Roy Oyangen

Dr. Oyangen went to high school in Port Jervis, New York, where he graduated in 1976 with Regents Honors. He attended Orange County Community College in Middletown, New York, where he made the Dean’s list and was awarded a Christine M. Morrison Scholarship. He graduated in 1978 with an Associates of Science degree in Biology and then went on to achieve a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology at the State University of New York at Albany in 1980.

While attending New Jersey’s Fairleigh Dickenson School of Dentistry, he earned a citation in Prosthodontics as well as his Masters Degree in Anatomy. He graduated in 1986 but still vigorously pursues dental excellence by taking more than a dozen continuing education classes each year. For that reason, Dr. Oyangen is known in the Albany area as a cosmetic dentist who stays well ahead of the curve.

Having expanded his practice to include children’s dentistry, adult orthodontics, Waterlase®, invisalign®, and dental implants, Dr. Roy Oyangen remains passionate in his pursuit of state-of-the-art dentistry. I am a dental assistant who has worked with Dr. Oyangen for eight years. Married with a gorgeous nine-year-old daughter, I enjoy country music and spending time with my family.

Carol

I have been practicing as a dental hygienist for 17 years in the Capital District, and I have worked with Dr. Oyangen for seven years. I am the mother of two beautiful girls. My personal interests and hobbies include mountain climbing, camping, rock music, NASCAR, and cooking.

Denise

I am a certified dental assistant who has been in dentistry for 20 years. I’ve worked with Dr. Oyangen for 16 years and am presently his business assistant. I have two beautiful children with whom I enjoy spending my free time. I also enjoy downhill skiing, kickboxing, and helping people achieve the beautiful smile they’ve always wanted.

My name is Alisa, and I am new to the dental field. I started working for Dr. Oyangen in September of 2005. Everyone on the team is wonderful, making me feel at home since Day One. I’ve also enjoyed meeting all of our wonderful patients. I have a 17-year-old son whom I adore. I enjoy baking yummy goodies and spending time with my family and friends.

I have been at Dr. Oyangen’s office for a year and have been in the dental field for six years. I am trained in all aspects of dentistry, but I am currently one of Dr. Oyangen’s assistants. I enjoy meeting and getting to know the patients here. I like taking part in bringing joy to people’s lives by helping create beautiful smiles for them. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my 5-year-old daughter Hailey Beth -- crafting, playing, and laughing.

Tanya

I started with Dr. Oyangen in September 2004. It is a privilege to be part of such a great team. I have worked in the dental field since 1993 as a dental assistant, office manager, and now as a hygienist. I married my wonderful husband Billy on New Years’ Eve 2002, and we now have an energetic Boxer puppy named Sasha who keeps us busy. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
